Countdown to Wallachia: Runestone to Power PGL Dota 2 Circuit

Summary

Building up on the recent CS2 partnership, Runestone and PGL have confirmed the continuation of their Dota 2 partnership through 2029. Runestone will remain the Official Data Partner for PGL’s landmark tournament marathon, providing the zero-latency infrastructure and real-time integrity monitoring essential for the ongoing PGL Wallachia series.

Following the renewal of their CS2 partnership,PGL and Runestone are extending their collaboration to the Dota 2 ecosystem through 2029. Ahead of PGL Wallachia Season 8, this agreement appoints Runestone as the Official Data Partner for PGL’s full multi-year Dota 2 roadmap, ensuring technical consistency across all of PGL’s tier-one properties.

Since starting Season 1 in April 2024, PGL has provided the community with a consistent, high-stakes competitive calendar, and this extension ensures that stability continues for years to come. With Season 7 having recently broken series records with 16 million hours watched (esports charts), the focus now shifts to Season 8, where 16 of the world’s best teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool at the PGL Studios in Bucharest.

Runestone will deliver zero-latency data infrastructure to the Wallachia series, ensuring the broadcast remains perfectly synchronized with the server. Beyond technical delivery, the partnership integrates Runestone's comprehensive integrity monitoring across the full Dota 2 circuit. By utilizing real-time match analysis, Runestone will provide continuous oversight of all competitive activity to detect irregularities, fostering a transparent and secure environment for teams, organizers, and the global community.
